The Local Government Unit of Palompon was recognized by ARTA Secretary Ernesto V Perez, of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), with a Commendation Ceremony on August 5, 2024, and making the Palompon 48th LGU Nationwide to Receive The Honor by becoming the First Municipality in Leyte Province to Implement a Fully Functional Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).
Palompon, Leyte Mayor Ramon Chu Oñate, also expressed gratitude for The Recognition and Reiterated the LGU Government’s Commitment to Creating a Conducive Business Climate.
“We have been a Valuable Partner to ARTA in its Initiative to Simplify Processes and Promote Regulatory Reform. This Collaboration Demonstrates the LGU’s Commitment to supporting National efforts in Creating a more Efficient and Transparent Government Service Framework”. Mayor Oñate said.
Meanwhile, Secretary Perez also said,
“We envision Palompon as a Thriving Economic Hub, attracting Businesses and Industries that will Harness the Municipality’s Natural Resources and Cultural Heritage. Your eBOSS system is a crucial step towards realizing this vision” Secretary Perez, said.
The Ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Ferdinand de la Calzada, Bureau of Fire Protection Region Vlll (BFP-RO VIII) Regional Director FCSupt. Adel De Paz Bautista, Palompon Multi Purpose Cooperative (PACCI) CEO Arcelene F. Sogillo, Liga ng mga Barangay President, Rene A. Camposano, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) OIC -Regional Director Atty. Melvyn Carlo T. Borrow, and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe.
